What is Cloth for, and How to Get Cloth in Zynga's Frontierville

There are many different commodity items in Zynga’s Frontierville. One of the items that you will wind up needing again and again is cloth. This is a tricky item, simply because it cannot be purchased at the market nor given as a gift. You may be asking yourself “How do you get cloth in Frontierville?” There are four ways that I have found to obtain cloth; I will discuss each of the options later in the article.

What is cloth used for? Some quests will require cloth to be used as is, for example a quest may have a requirement of 20 pieces of cloth. This is pretty cut and dried. The cloth is also used in several crafting projects. Cloth and wood are used together in making fire, which itself is used in quests or for making fireworks, powder kegs and cake. Cloth is used in making clothes, which are in turn used to make fancy clothes. In your general store you can make presents, which of course, use cloth. When expanding your land, you will need cloth to construct the land grant item at your Surveyor. Another use is for making a comforter with feathers in your chicken coop, this comforter is required for constructing a crib. Cloth is required when making decorative “outfits” for your character as well.

So as you can see getting cloth in Frontierville is a very important part of the game, and something that every player needs to understand how to do.

The four main ways to get cloth is as follows:

• · It is occasionally offered as a prize for clicking a neighbor’s quest reward. This is the most uncommon method of obtaining cloth, and not the way you will get much of it; however don’t let those opportunities pass you by.
• Certain days will award cloth as the daily bonus. Usually this will be four pieces of cloth.
• · Next, you can get cloth by turning in certain collections. The tailor shop collection will give you three cloth and 100 gold, the flax collection awards two pieces of cloth in addition to some ribbon, the sheep collection awards three cloth and ribbon, and the cotton collection awards five cloth and one ribbon.
• · The easiest and best way to add to your cloth supplies is by visiting your neighbors. If you have never visited that neighbor’s frontier before you will be awarded with five cloth, and then each day you visit you will get an additional one cloth. So if you have plenty of neighbors the cloth can add up quickly just by visiting.
